God is looking at the hidden motives of our hearts and thought. He wants us to go to the lowest place and embrace true humility—-and to fully delight in it. The ones who do are the ones on whom He shines His light of favor and gives promotion. He knows exactly how our hearts respond when we are stuck in the back row or in the lowest places.

The Lord wants us to ask Him for more of His presence, His Spirit, and His gifts, yet often we are not ready for them, and we do not understand what we are praying for. The Lord wants to answer our prayers, but He must purify us first—-and His refining of us comes from HIs passion for us. In His mercy and love, He brings many forms of pressure into our lives, watching to see what will arise from our hearts in response. Whether the scent is a fragrance depends on how we react to our prayers. The process of crushing and refining is often painful and dificult, but if we respond in acceptance, we will be the sweet fragrance of prayer to Him.

#4: I’m thankful for…
I am thankful for the PIANO! The piano is an amazing instrument and I am so thankful that it was created so I can play and sing to God. He deserves it all and much more! I love being able to express myself and play for God on the piano, it is one of my passions. Worship is my passion. I love worshipping God! God is so good! Thank you God for not giving up on me with piano! You are amazing!
Side note: For those of you who didn’t know. I first started playing piano when I was in 3/4/5 (ish) grade. Then I quit. About 3/4 years ago I started back up because I missed it. Then I quit again because I didn’t have a reason to keep playing piano-there was no purpose. About 2 years ago I started playing piano again and haven’t stopped; God was my purpose. God told me and my mom that there was a reason I needed to play piano. God is amazing and if we don’t do what we are supposed to do He will bring us back to that, but if we aren’t obedient- He can’t use us. I’m glad I trusted God during that season in my life and obeyed Him.
#3: I’m thankful for…
I am thankful for my church family :). In the few years that I have gone to Life Church, my youth group has become my second family. I have seen all of us grow and change; I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for my youth leaders! Thank you guys! They have mentored me and encouraged me. I seriously love them to pieces! They have such a strong heart for God that I can see in them. God is so good! Most people in my youth group are so passionate about God! I am excited for what God has in store for us this year.
Leaders: I have loved learning from you guys! You have so much to give, and you are so passionate about God! I admire that in you guys. I look at each one of your lives and have seen God’s fingerprint on them and what God is going to do through each one of you no matter where we end up. Some of you may move away or get married, but you will all be in my heart; and I will always remember what God has done, through each one of you, in my life. You have all touched my life :) Thank you. <3

In a movie, the music sets the mood for certain scenes. Makes you sit on the edge of your chair if it’s intense. I can’t imagine life without music. It’s everywhere :)
